Cirrus Primary Academy Trust is looking to recruit Clerk(s) for a pool to provide additional capacity to our central Trust clerking offer. The Trust consists of six schools and is looking to expand further. As a result, we would like to recruit clerks to minute the meetings of our Local Governing Boards. To find out more about the schools in our trust visit www.cirrustrust.uk
The organisation and administration of the LGB meetings is done centrally at the Trust by the Clerk to the Trust. This includes agenda setting and issuing of the papers seven days before the meeting.
Our pool clerks will attend the meeting and write the minutes afterwards, sending the draft minutes to the Chair of the LGB and the Head of School for review. The clerk will complete any amendments and send the minutes to the Clerk of the Trust within fourteen days of the date of the meeting for circulation to the LGB.
The clerk will have previous experience of professionally minuting meetings, preferably with experience in the education sector. They will be organised and able to work to a set deadline. They need to be able to interact professionally with everyone on the LGB and manage difficult meetings should the need arise.
The salary for this role is negotiable depending on experience and we are open to discussion for the right candidates.
This contract is a zero hours contract and you will be paid for the time that you work. The Trust estimates that each two hour long meeting will require approximately three hours of minute writing afterwards. Therefore you should expect to work for five hours in total for each meeting.
Closing Date or applications : 28th June 2019.
Those selected for interview will be contacted shortly after this date.
